Shoulder Rotation In The Golf Swing
Updated: Oct 3, 2021
The shoulder rotation or shoulder turn in the golf swing is a detailed move that can be simplified by using the move made by Greg Norman.
You can use less shoulder adduction to create your depth by pivoting and protracting your shoulders in your backswing.
This means greater amounts of shoulder and chest turn and far more width with your arms and hands, which correlate into DISTANCE.
Note: It is my preference knowing this about the shoulders that I would set players into a C shape posture.
You can see why as it helps to protract your shoulders at address.
C shape posture also allows you to use foveal vision, which is the body's superior vision system.
